3CDC & Over-the-Rhine Revitalization

Over the last 15+ years, the nonprofit 3CDC has helped transform Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood through targeted investments in property rehabilitation, public space activation, and mixed-income development. 

Washington Park, once neglected, was reimagined with new landscaping, programming, and community input — turning a blighted civic space into a vibrant neighborhood anchor. 
While structural and real estate work is different from education, the underpinning principle is comparable: strategic, sustained investment in neighborhoods can shift trajectories and open new futures.

Student-Driven IT Center

Within the University of Cincinnati, a student-driven software solutions center trains students to tackle real-world projects with industry partners. Over a decade, it has engaged over 100 students and dozens of real-world clients — building bridge experience between academia and market demands.  

That kind of model shows how connecting learners to real challenges yields stronger portfolios, deeper skills, and meaningful exposure to career pathways.
